Downtown Flower Pots
On the first Monday of each month, a dedicated group of members meet to plant and maintain the pots that line Main Street in Downtown Turlock. They end this work time with a coffee time.
Jessica's House
Jessica's House is a safe place where grieving children are welcomed with care and support. Turlock Garden Club has been maintaining the flower beds at Jessica's House for 13 years. A group of members work once a month to weed, plant and deadhead.
Turlock Carnegie Art Center
Each January, a dedicated group of members prune back the white roses that surround the Center. The roses are also maintained with occasional summer deadheading.
Turlock Farmer's Market
The Club hosts a table at the Market to inform and invite locals to join the club. Occasionally we offer complimentary thank you plants for a donation to Penny Pines. California Garden Clubs, Inc. adopted Penny Pines as a state project in 1957 and it remains one of our major projects today. Over the years these groups have contributed more than a million dollars to the Penny Pines Reforestation Program. Through these donations, more than 27 million of seedlings have been planted, renewing 88,000 acres of national forest land in California –truly an outstanding achievement.
